Meg Morgan

Meg is based in Boulder, Colorado. She moved to Boulder after growing up and living in Boston. She earned a degree in Mathematics from Cornell University and used that degree to pursue a career in sustainable energy consulting.

In parallel, Meg spent a few years professionally racing ultra marathons. In 2023, she had to put that pursuit on hold due to health issues. When Meg could no longer spend her days outside on foot, she retreated to art. Art was an old love - a large part of her life when she was a kid and through high school. It had taken a back seat for college and her professional careers.

Relearning to paint meant exploring different styles and larger canvases. It meant spending full days sitting in cafes sketching every customer who walked in to become comfortable capturing movement and human personality. It meant bringing her sketchbook and pen everywhere. It meant discovering how art can create community. It proved to be the most productive and healing coping mechanism she tried - adopting a lethargic beta fish and forcing friends to play online chess were not as effective.
